Childrens' Activities

The Children's Activities Committee has been one key to the success of RTP.  Since our Powwow began as a celebration and attempt to bring understanding of different cultures to this area,  it is natural that our powwow differs from most, in the emphasis on education.  For many years this massive job was masterminded beautifully by Char Davis and Carole Pearce.  In recent years it has been more or less divided into the Wisdom Keepers Area for adults ( Jo Lakota) and the Children Activities area (Anita and the Shelton Family).  The children love this area, and while adults enjoy the dancing, this part of the Powwow keeps the children entertained for hours. :)
